Position Description EveryoneOn is a national nonprofit working to eliminate the digital divide by making high-speed, low-cost Internet, computers, and free digital literacy courses accessible to all unconnected Americans. EveryoneOn aims to leverage the democratizing power of the Internet to provide opportunity to all Americans – regardless of age, race, geography, income, or education level. EveryoneOn is looking for a Marketing and Communications Intern. This is an exciting opportunity for any college student who has a passion for empowering disadvantaged communities through digital inclusion. Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist Communications staff in drafting postings, emails and other outreach materials • Write and post blog posts, tweets, updates, etc. • Reply to comments and messages • Research up-and-coming social network services Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Must possess an understanding of the digital divide • Knowledge of Facebook and Twitter • Strong Communication skills (written and verbal) • Strong organizational skills • Minor video editing skills • An understanding of new trends in social media This is a paid position that requires the intern to work less than 10 hours a week.
