Eye opener visit to Balochistan.After crossing Hub and Baila,we turned right towards mountainous range leading towards Avaran.Mountains were breath takingly dry but beautiful.On the way,we crossed mazar of Shirin and Farhad.Those mountains read with red ink;PAKISTAN MURDA BAD,PAKISTANI FAUJ MURDA BAD and GHULAMI MURDA BAD.I wondered why Baloch people are becoming so separatist.But when we started crossing small Baloch dwellings,I came to realize the reason.No infrastructure whatsoever has been provided by government.People live in mud houses where electricity comes for only three hours.When we reached Avaran hospital,I saw hundreds of wounded with orthopedic injuries but no surgical facilities are available from Avaran to Karachi;that is 350 km.Piles of aid were lying in DC office of Avaran and people were dying of heat,thirst and hunger.Entire dwellings had been erased by earthquake and I met a mother who was sitting on a debris under which her daughter was burried.Mother name was Salma and her daughter name was Asha.Eyes of mother were dry and she was worried about her two other hungry children.Then I met a hungry child Ikram,whose mother had been dead after quake and his father has been shifted to hospital due to injuries.Except Al-Khidmat foundation volunteers,I saw no single government agency working there.People there told me that army and FC people demand 5 year old kids to show their ID card and when they cant produce it,they slap them.Security personnel demand REGISTRATION PAPERS OF BICYCLES and when people cant show it,they are taken into custody.Boys are routinely employed as medieval slaves by army there to transport their luggage without any money.Their girls are regularly abducted by army Jawans and left after rape or killed.Those people have dilemma that BLA suspects them to be Army aid and Army suspects them to be BLA aid;as a result,they are persecuted by both.But what an honour and integrity has been running in blood of Baloch people.When food was being distributed,I saw no single person making mess like other parts of Pakistan but everyone was standing cool and calm waiting for food.Every Baloch kid abuses army there and wish for Azad Balochistan.Well Done G.H.Q.
