FACING FACTS (ONLINE COUNSELING) Alhaja Muibat was a successful business woman within the city of her abode, the husband was doing very well and the children also were very respectful and very religious in the Islamic way. Alhaja was a respected food vendor of her time and all the children were helping her out in the business. Moses was one of the patrons of the canteen, as a matter of fact, Moses never presented his real name to Alhaja; he personally told Alhaja that his name was Musa and a Muslim as well. By this, she developed an unreserved interest in him and all the children loved him as well because he was always in their canteen for his breakfast, his lunch and supper because he was a bachelor as at the time. Musa proposed marriage to the first daughter of Alhaja and she accepted even with her mother’s consent. Throughout the period of courtship, Musa was presenting his father’s relations who were Muslims to the family of Hafsat and she did not know. The wedding was done in an Islamic way without involving the biological parents. Hafsat became pregnant while Musa still continued with his game of deceit as a Muslim. The only time the real father of Moses got to hear anything close to that was when he was told that Moses impregnated someone in the other city and his family over there has gone to make peace with the family of the girl pending when she will be delivered of that baby for the two families to seat together and discuss the whole issue and resolve it with maturity. In a process of time, Hafsat gave birth to a baby girl. The biological father of Musa, formerly Moses, sent money and live goats for the purpose of that naming and on the day of naming, he brought his pastors for the naming ceremony of his first granddaughter but Musa denied him of that privilege. That made his biological father to release a curse upon him with bitterness of heart. Among other things, the father cursed him that he will never see favour no matter how much he struggles in life, neither will he enjoy any good thing but bitterness except he refunds the money he sent and returns the live goats he sent. Friends, the live goats were used to host the Islamic clerics that came for the naming ceremony. Musa refused to return both the money and the goats. The life of Musa was next to suffering in description and his family was never settled. REAL ISSUES: 1. Musa’s father died without reconciliation with his son. 2. Musa himself became an epitome of failure in all areas of life. 3. All of Musa’s children were reflecting different kinds of curses. 4. Musa’s wife got to know the truth about her husband during that naming ceremony. REAL QUESTIONS: 1. What should Musa do at this point? 2. What should Hafsat do? 3. What should the children do? N.B:- GODLY COUNSEL EXPECTED FROM YOU. THANKS
