FACT: St. Lucia spends some 459 million dollars in wages and salaries. FACT: Dominica (2004), Belize ( 2007, 2013), Grenada ( 2005, 2014) Jamaica (2010, 2013) St. Kitts (2012) and Antigua&Barbuda (2009) have all gone through DEBT RESTRUCTURING. Here are three options provided to the Leader of this country 1.Cut Wages/salaries by 10% and save 37 million dollars. The retrenchment equivalent of which is 990 workers. I.E to save that amount and bridge the gap of expenses that repeats itself 990 public servants must be sent home. 2. Cut salary by 7% saving some 26 millions dollars or send 696 workers homes. 3. Cut wages/salaries by 5% saving 18.5 million dollars or send 495 public servants home. Dream for a moment if you were the Prime Minister of St Lucia which would you choose. Note well, not selecting an option is out of it. You must implement one. (if you are shy inbox me your thoughts Id love to hear them)
