FAQs about the 2015 Weight Loss Team: 1) What does it cost? Total cost is $400 but that DOES NOT have to be paid in full. If selected, our first team meeting is on Dec. 13th. At that time we ask for at least $100 so we can order supplies,t-shirts ect. Individual arrangements can be made at that time to work with ANY BUDGET. DO NOT let cost be a deterrent from applying (if you havent noticed, were not in this for the money) 2) What is the timeline for the program? Application deadline is Nov. 15th. We select the team and notify them on December 1st. First team meeting is December 13th where we meet and get to know everyone, set you up with a few tools and homework assignments, and give you a calendar of events. Contest starts on January 10th (so yes, you still get to enjoy the holidays). We meet weekly for 6 months. You are responsible for monthly weigh-ins to remain eligible for cash prizes. Final weigh-ins and winners announced June 4th. 3) What do we do? Show up every week, do the work, listen to your trainers, do your homework. Youll learn how to grocery shop and how to order at restaurants. Youll gain an understanding of obesity and causes as well as tools to combat it. Learn the connection between the choices you make and the consequences. Get honest with yourself and your family about food addictions, food hording, and emotionally driven eating and learn ways to cope. Youll learn the recognize fact from fiction on food labels and healthy marketing scams. Youll be exposed to several ways to move your body, including indoor/outdoor workouts, a trip to an MMA gym to fight with a professional fighter, yoga, and weekly group workouts that progress in difficulty. Youll also gain a lifetime support from your team mates (past and present) as well as from the trainers and other clients at the studio. 4) Why do we have to apply to come to your gym? You dont have to apply to be a part of the Nampa Fit Family! Your always welcome to join into our classes or book a session with our personal trainers. You do have to apply to be on the team because this program is a very focused education for obese and morbidly obese clients only. Our space and equipment is limited and the team dynamic is a huge part of our continued success. The team is competing for $10,000 in cash and prizes in the Treasure Valley Weight Loss Challenge, although anyone may participate, we build a team to compete. We have trained the 1st place team for the past 4 years by choosing people we know are ready to make the commitment. Thats why we ask some pretty direct questions on the application. 5) Will I win money? Possibly, but we cant make promises. If you do the work and follow through, you will see results and you will learn tools to help you and your family for the rest of your life. Hopefully, we can get you off of some obesity related medications and teach you how to save $ at the grocery store. Some of our clients have won money in the past ranging from $150 - $3200. 4) What am I waiting for? We have no idea. Get your application in by Nov. 15th!
