FBK SUNDAY, JANUARY 26 Genesis 15:1-6 GOD ALWAYS RE-ASSURES US This chapter in the book of Genesis shows the Abrahamic Covenant between God and Abram. This was confirmed through the promise of a spiritual seed. A seed that will be born out of Abrams bowels. Verse 5 explains the vast number of Abrams seed comparing to the stars in heaven. In the finite mind of Abraham, he thought his only heir would be Eliezer of Damascus, the only steward in his household. But God in his mighty power and omniscience, promised Abram that he would give him a son. When God revealed this to Abram, he believed in the Lord, and God counted it to him for righteousness (v. 6).
