FILM REVIEW: Just finished the ending to the film One Day starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. Two teens having met on graduation day develop a deep emotional friendship with one another. Over the course of 20 years and each pursuing their own life paths, they get together each year on the same day to reminisce and reflect on how theyre doing. Year after year as their roads grow further and further apart, their emotional bond and need for each other grows stronger. Despite the laughter, the tears and all the distance in the world this story proves one thing – we all have a soul mate and even though we arent able to appreciate them at the moment we do know one thing; that life without them simply isnt satisfying. At the end of the film my heart was left shattered but at the same time I am smiling ear to ear. One Day is available for streaming on NETFLIX. Check out the trailer below:
