FINANCIAL CONTROLLER POSITION Opportunity to work with a leader in the agriculture sector with operations in Thailand and Myanmar. Company has integrated operations in greenhouse and open field production, processing and packaging, storage and logistics. Ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a financial controller in an international cross-border manufacturing/trading and marketing operation. The position will be based in Bangkok but occasional traveling will be required to facility locations in Thailand and Myanmar. Responsibilities include: • Establish and implement internal controls, procedures and best practices expected of a world class accounting/finance department • Supervise daily accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, general ledger maintenance, generation of reports, and other • Provide periodic financial and operating management reports on a timely basis • Coordinate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for individual entities and group consolidation in accordance with public market and local country requirements • Prepare weekly cash flow projections and analysis for all entities and on a consolidated basis • Facilitate financial statement audits • Assist in special projects, including merger and acquisition target analysis • Manage, develop, and coordinate operating and capital budgets • Filing of tax returns for all entities with the assistance of outside tax firm • Develop tax projections, tax planning and tax research • Support in the negotiation of financing arrangements with banks and other financing outfits • Supervise remotely located accounting staff Qualifications include: • CPA or Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 7 years of experience (public and private accounting). • Experience dealing with international group operations including cross border consolidation, transfer pricing, and global audit processes • Experience with manufacturing cost accounting • Positive, team player that is a self starter, organized and very detailed oriented. • Effective communicator in both English and Thai • Ability to multitask and establish priorities • Proven ability to identify and resolve problems in a methodical manner • Strong and proven ability to develop, manage, motivate, and support staff as company grows • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Accounting software packages (Quickbooks or other), Outlook • High physical and mental energy level and stamina.
