FMIM Power in the Bible: Week 4. The Power of the Holy Spirit Day 3 C. The Holy Spirit has the power to bring our dead spirit to life. The Bible says in Titus 3:5-7, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. FMIM explanation of verses: There is not any good thing we can do to get rid of our sin. We do not deserve to go to Heaven. Jesus died on the cross because he loves us; His blood can wash our sins away and our spirit made alive through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus rose from the dead. We are forgiven of our sins and our spirit lives, not because of what we do. Eternal life is a free gift of God and all people who accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour become the children of God. We know Jesus is with us every minute of the day and we know we will be with him in Heaven when we die. Question: Do you know you are going to Heaven?
