A mild stagnant airmass is producing widespread reduced visibilities in fog across portions of the Golden Horseshoe, Central and Southwestern Ontario. Many locations are reporting visibilities lower than 500 metres and the poor visibilities are expected to persist for most of the night. Conditions should show improvement by late Tuesday morning. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. If travelling, be prepared for areas of near zero visibility. Weather Advisories for fog are issued when near zero visibilities in fog are expected or occurring. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required, so stay tuned to your local media or Weatheradio.
