FOOD FOR THOUGHT In Nigeria here, we have a lot of things enslaving our minds. We are slaves to a lot of things and we let many things rule us and dictate how to enjoy our lives. You see a Nigerian insist that he/she must get married to a Nigerian. Well, he/she meets a Nigerian then another choice comes in, the person must be from his/her tribe. If he is a Yoruba person he insists that even within his own tribe that the person mustnt be an Ijebu person. If he is Igbo, he insists that even within that his tribe it mustnt be an mbaise person. If he is from south south he insists that as an Ijaw man he will never get married to an Itsekiri person. Even within the same tribe and place you still let stereotypes and archaic reasoning take away your happiness. If that person is who makes you happy you choose to be unhappy because you have been brainwashed that a certain group of people all have the same blood running through them and are all untrustworthy. Thats a big shame. Now you have seen a girl or man that is from the tribe and place you want, then religion comes into play. If he or she isnt a Christian you wont marry them. Then God provides a Christian and then denomination comes into play. Im a catholic and she is a Jehovahs witness we cant marry He attends deeper life and I am a Christ embassy ambassador so I can not raise a family with him. We are not grace mates. She is an Anglican and I am a witness my church will not even allow us marry. I ask this, dont we all worship the same God? Christianity is Christianity. You feel because you attend a particular church you will make heaven? Let us set down all these excess baggage holding us down and enjoy our lives. The same God said Nothing I created is unclean so stop acting like everyone besides your church members are all unclean. Set aside tribal and religious discrimination and enjoy your life. Life is too short to live with the burden of religious and tribal stereotypes. Remember you only live once. GOODMORNING!
