FOOTBALL- Nigeria Premier League side Sunshine Stars coach Fatai Amoo has denied rumours he has quit his post even though he has received some death threats. Amoo, who joined the Akure club recently, told reporters he has no intention of leaving the club despite these threats. He said some people just want to turn themselves to God by cursing both players and the coaches after the defeat to Nasarawa United on Wednesday in the Federations Cup. The former 3SC and Enyimba coach said:"I did not resign my job as Sunshine coach, I am still with the team. We did not train on (Friday) due to threats by some fans, but we have called on our lawyer to provide us good security that can protect us,” he said. In the meantime, Amoo has appealed to the Sunshine Stars fans to be patient. "The fans just need to be a little bit patient and see us as people who want to progress, they should support us and not be against us and if they do this, we will give out our best,” he said. "Death threats should not be, football is not about winning always. Barcelona of Spain lost to Bayern Munich both home and away in the Champions League, but their fans still continued to support them. “But the reverse is the case here because of Nasarawa defeat.
