FORUM UPDATE: Ive just removed and blocked a recently registered Forum member for posting a random piece of advertising spam. Quick reminder to the other Admins to please double-check the profile of anyone making a join request for Forum membership to look for signs of being tied to the area. Best indicators: friendships with others who are already Forum members or profiles which clearly list Ventnor or nearby towns as place of residence. At this stage of the groups evolution, Im rejecting about 2 out of every 3 requests for not showing any ties whatsoever to the area. There might be bots that roam FB looking for groups of a certain size in which case, 500 might have been some kind of magic milestone. For people who might be attempting to join who provide minimal public profiles ... sorry, but keeping the group page safe from spam or malware internet links is important. Put up a town on your public profile that gives some hint of where youre from, please. ;-)
