FOUR KILLED IN RENEWED TARABA CLASH; Four persons were reported killed and many others injured in Amar community of Karim-Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State at the weekend following an attack by people suspected to be from the Tarok ethnic group of Plateau State. Hundreds of villagers are said to have fled the community to take refuge in neighbouring communities. A resident of the community, Usman Mana, told Daily Trust that the attack took the people by surprise, lamenting that poor security situation in the area made it possible. Caretaker Chairman Simon Babani Mohammed who confirmed the incident said he had briefed the commissioner of police on the development and he promised to take relevant security measures to maintain peace in the area. According to him, the situation has been brought under control. But the Taraba State Police Public Relations Officer, Joseph Kwaji said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
