FQ: Hello again! I have a question I’m hoping you guys can help me out with. I have a son who just turned 4 and he was finally potty trained about a year ago. Since then, he tells me when he has to go #2 (because I have to help him up on the potty) but he wont tell me he has to go #1 or go by himself. He waits until someone tells him to go potty. He hasn’t peed his pants for a good 6+ months. One day I tried going all day without telling him to see if he’d go on his own but after 8 hours, he still hadn’t gone. I finally told him to go potty and he went. Ive tried telling him that he doesn’t need told to go potty and he can go whenever he has to, but he still won’t. I think he gets so distracted from playing and watching TV or movies that he forgets. Do you have any advice on how I can get him to go without anyone telling him so? Thanks! ~11
