FREE ACCESS THROUGH THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION! Should you ever bow your knee to anyone or anything other than Christ Jesus or God? The answer is NO! Throughout the scriptures and throughout history Christians have been martyred [killed] for refusing to acknowledge kings and religious leaders as divine beings. If you were to ask any of the matriarchs and patriarchs of the Bible if they were to serve as mediators between Jesus or God and mankind they would all say absolutely not. It is written, “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5). It doesn’t mention a mother, a king, or a priest, or any other than Christ Himself. Prior to Christ’s crucifixion only the priest were allowed in the inter place in the temple known as the “Holy of Holys” but once Jesus died on that cross the Bible says the temple curtain ripped (from top to bottom) removing that barrier and giving us FREE access to God, Jesus, as well as the Holy Spirit. Due to the nature of sin we love to continually build barriers between us and God by the way we live (hatred, bitterness, anger, pride, envy, jealousy, etc) but by confessing these sins God will remove them as long as we confess them. As far as martyrdom goes I have often wondered if I would be have the courage to die for what I believed in or would I deny my religion to save my earthly body. I would hope I would stand for TRUTH. Would you? Unfortunately we may just live to see it here in America the way things are going.
