FRIEND WHO NEEDS ASSISTANCE Folks, I rarely do this but when I do, its because I feel pretty strongly about it. I have a very good friend here on Facebook and he is having some major issues. He broke his tooth and his nerve is now exposed. He is in a lot of pain. He works hard and has never asked for 1 thing in his life but he does A LOT of volunteering at his local homeless shelter. He needs help. He does not have dental insurance. Unfortunately, he will need a root canal and a crown on this tooth. That is expensive. Now...... 1. he has called his local school of dentistry and there is a 3 month waiting list 2. he has called an agency that will help with indigent funds but they do not have funding for dentists and he doesnt qualify because he makes $10.00/ hour - EVEN THOUGH he is taking care of 3 kids! uggghhh. 3. he has asked the dentist if he would accept payments and they will not 4. his credit is not the best and he tried applying for credit cards and was denied. he has tried everything. So, if you can help, please do. He is looking at a $850 cost for the Root Canal and $1,100 for a crown. Thats a lot. So, I am putting together a fundraiser for him.
