FROM PAT UTOMI NATIONAL DIALOGUE AND ITS LEGITIMACY CRISES The trouble with the National Dialogue is not that some do not want it. The trouble with it is that smart people see the way it is deployed as push for a political masterstroke in the incumbents to achieve goals other than talking over Nigeria’s problems. It is equity time in Nigeria and all should come with clean hands. Compounding matters with getting around the issues of legitimacy by asking the National Assembly to enact it, is bound to make matters worse. My “weird” solution to this crises is to ask Britain to do here as they did with Hong Kong when time was running out on the British lease and mandate. Perhaps they should send us a Chris Patten and be sovereign for one year while we dialogue to determine: Which way Nigeria? PU MY REPLY TO HIM Its a pity that u are dancing this senseless asonto with tinubu and APC wagon, When is the right time for it?, Who is the right person to conduct it,. APC lake proper reasoning, u guys have allowed quest for power becloud ur reasoning,u dont see any good thing from anything that comes from Jonathan, Prof i admire you but im disappointed with this ur acertion, With all these filthy allegations and media propaganda what do you people want young nigerians to learn from you? may be finding fault from our leaders, which you know will never help any leader, you guys should stop it, in other nations oppositions help government to develop the nation, but here u guys party in bringing down the growth of the nation just to score cheap political card, what a shame, pls prof tell you colleagues to stop this nonsense, time is passing, u guys should allow this country to develop, national confab will bring everything to limelight, let us talk and find solutions to many issues bordering us, if after the confab the national assembly refuse to approve it all of us will match there and tell them that we elected them,Simple!, they have been amending the constitution since 1999, we have not seen any difference from it, Please anyone that want to stop it is an enemy to the development of Nigeria. this country have suffered allot, are we not tired of castigating our leaders?,Are we not ashamed to be repeating the same thing and getting the same result?, The solution is not in APC, is not in Britain, is not in Washington, is not in tokyo, is in us , yes is in us,If we dont change our mindset on our leaders this country may not change,we choose the leaders, we castigate them,we elect them again we castigate them again, are we not ashame? do you think with those kind of pressure any body will perform? Even you u, u are a good manager what will you do if you have a staff that always castigate u?ok what if u have 30% of staffers that always see negetive things from your plans, the common rule is to sack them or u will not have good out-put,. please STOP this ASONTO dance , lets come together and talk, let us kno why someone that have live in the east for all his life can not contest anything there, let us kno y the riots in Aba will cause another riot in Kano, Why must government sponsor both Christians and Muslims to the holy-land, many issues are there to disuse, We must talk Dont deny Nigerians this opportunity, if you dont want to be part of it stay at home and dont discourage the innocent once.
