FROM THE NEWSROOM: A dumpster fire that occurred at a private residence off of Westcott Road in Killingly is now under control. QVEC Dispatch has confirmed that they received a call at around 9:30 p.m. regarding the fire, which was originally said to be in close vicinity with the private residence and a woodshop. Officials confirmed that there were in fact no exposure issues on the property. The blaze has been extinguished by responders from the South Killingly Fire Department. No injuries were reported, and no specific cause for the fire was evident.
