FROM THE PASTOR THE INFLUENCE OF A GODLY PARENT Listen to the account of graduate Roy Costner IV; it made national headlines an was reprinted from GOPUSA. “…The school district, under threats from the ACLU and atheists groups, had decided to end the practice of praying before school events. As reported by Christian News, Liberty High School held its graduating ceremonies this past week, and little did the school officials know that their valedictorian was about to make national news.” This valedictorian from South Carolina, on stage, ripped up his politically correct approved speech and chose to deliver the Lord’s Prayer in defiance to the school district’s decision to no longer include prayer at graduation ceremonies. All of this “contro-versy” had been spurred on by atheist groups who have nothing better to do than protest, protest, protest. If they don’t believe in God, then that’s their problem. But, of course, they don’t stop there. Their entire mission is to stamp out all reference to God and Jesus Christ in any public venue. But graduate Costner drew loud applause and cheers by the surprised attendees at Clemson’s Littlejohn Coliseum. We commend Roy Costner IV’s courage and bless him in the name of the Lord.
