FYI:The type of singing she is doing is known as the Doctor Watts or the Long Meter. It came from back in the days when slaves were praising in the fields. One would start it off at one location and another one would pick it up in another location and it would keep it going. Now, it also had a part in the Underground Railway System. Messages would be passed on time, location and departure of the train. However when certain slaves got hold of it and told their Massers, the singings were banned . It has been years (before Katrina) since I ve heard the LMs, if I wasnt doing it myself. Usually in small country Churches (FirstBaptist Church, Verrettville, St. Bernard Parish, LA. when the Seniors or Elder members gave their Testimonies on certain Sundays. And only the really OLD SKOOL ones would do it in that fashion.
