Family Law If you are considering applying for a divorce, it is important that you also obtain advice about the division of property, arrangements for your children and updating your will. Divorce is the legal dissolution/termination of a marriage and does not provide for any division of property or for any arrangements to be made for the children. A divorce order does not necessarily change any of yours or your spouse’s beneficial entitlements to superannuation; does not affect the provisions of your Will; and does not affect the property division of the parties.
