The various contraceptives we have are many and they are categorised in 2 main methods; Temporal and Permanent Methods and under the temporal we have long term and short term contraceptive. Under the permanent method we have the: - Voluntary Surgical Contraception (VSC) - Tubal Ligation & - Vasectomy. For the benefit of time we will limit our dicussion on the temporal methods for now and deal with the permanent methods later. 1. LONG TERM CONTRACEPTIVES. This include - Intrauterine Device (IUD/IUS) - Hormonal Implants: Jadelle, Implants & DKTs Zarin implant which is for 4yrs.
