Family Team, I have neglected you guys in relating the latest highlights from training, and for that, I apologize! Last week culminated in a much- anticipated phone call, after conducting Buddy Team Live fires, and the infamous, "NIC at night." Just when you thought your Soldiers were only going to safely assault forward to multiple fighting positions, engaging "enemy" targets with live ammo, while communicating with their battle buddy, they also got to experience the awesome firepower of the M240B machine gun as they crawled approximately 150 meters under wire, over logs, and through sand. In other news, things are looking great for the family day pass, which is only a week away, and your Soldiers are really looking forward to a much needed break. We finish this week off with more combatives, where we will learn how to defend ourselves while unarmed, and then we will continue to train on Squad tactics into next week.
