Family Tree DNA is sponsoring a special meeting of the Ballymena Branch of the North of Ireland Family History Society featuring renowned DNA expert, Dr Maurice J Gleeson from London on Wednesday 30th April 2014 at 7.15pm. This talk will provide an introduction to the use of DNA testing as a complement to Family History Research, and will give a detailed description of the 3 main types of DNA tests. It will cover what each test will tell you and, equally as important what each test wont tell you. You can then decide for yourself which test might be best to help answer the questions you have relating to your own family tree research. There will be DNA testing (a simple cheek swab) available before and after the event at discounted rates especially negotiated for this event.
