Fan Question: Paternity question. I have been separated from my babys father for over a year. My daughter is 16 months. She was born in april and he left when she was three weeks old. I live in indiana with my daughter and he moved to Illinois. He saw her one time in may when she was two months and once in june she was three months. He came to get his things out of a storage building. He had to stop at my house to get mail but did not ask to see her. That was when she was four months old. I didnt hear from him again until the middle of January. He acted like he was going to be apart of her life and then he started asking questions so he could file his taxes and to get his w2s. (Since I was still getting his mail) the last day I heard from him was march 4. He did not even contact me on my daughters birthday. So my question is do I have a good case to get sole custody? I want to be able to move out of state to further my education but since i could get in big trouble leaving state with her I need to file for divorce and custody agreement. I honestly want hia rights taken from him. He was mentally abusive and if anything ever happened to me I dont want her to go to him. By saying I dont want him to have any rights I am not trying to be a selfish parent I am thinking of my daughter and by the kind of person he and his immediate family members are I dont want her exposed to them... any advice?? *Adrienne
