Fantastic list of questions to ask a rescue about their practices. From the wonderful Pilots N Paws Canada: "Do they do a thorough temperament test for all their pets in order to make the optimal placement and inform new owners of the details found? Please note that most rescues will need to have kept the animal with them for a minimum of a month to allow the rescue time to assess the animal’s temperament, likes/dislikes, and how it reacts in various situations. If a rescue doesn’t do this, it could be a reason to look elsewhere. A rescue should never get a pet in one day and turn it over within 24 hrs to a new owner. Big RED FLAG on that one!" pilotsnpawscanada/guidelines/guidelines-for-pilots-2/guidelines-for-finding-a-shelter-or-rescue-you-can-trust/
