Father, I pray that police would be able to maintain peace.... that senseless violence and destruction would not add to the tragedy of the situation in Ferguson, MO. I pray that President Obamas statement would have a calming effect across the nation. I pray that people could work through their pain and disappointment and respect the rule of law and the grand jurys decision after viewing all of the evidence. I pray that outside instigators would not be able to insight a riot. I pray that police will hold their ground without overreacting to the situation. I pray that clergy and community leaders will be able to minister and help bring calm. I pray that Your Holy Spirit will work through Your people in that area to help bring peace. In Jesus Name, Amen.
