Fear robs us of God’s joy and lands in a place of scarcity. - TopicsExpress

Fear robs us of God’s joy and lands in a place of scarcity. Scarcity turns and twists our souls because scarcity is where “never enough” lives. There is never enough certainty… never enough resources… never enough time… never enough love. Scarcity is our finiteness projected outward on the world around us and measures “what is” from our limitations rather than God’s abundance. Scarcity cannot be satiated by “more,” because fear is always digging a bottomless pit into which there is never enough to fill it. The limitation of death is ultimately what creates the perception of scarcity, so the God-solution is not “more;” it is faith and trust rooted in gratitude and humility, and then acted out in service of others. It is praying for and trusting God to provide our “daily bread” so that we’re living cooperatively, not competitively. preacherspost.typepad/preachers_post/2014/06/68-trusting-god-at-the-back-of-the-line.html
