Feelings of ambivalence about this article. Touched by the fathers - TopicsExpress

Feelings of ambivalence about this article. Touched by the fathers obvious love, dedication, and presumption of his sons competence. That cannot be minimized in any way; rather than wallow in self-pity, this man is focusing on creating opportunities for his son to grow, and is aiming high! Its beautiful. But Im frustrated that because of a disability, schools in closer proximity arent an option for this family. Imagine what a commodity time must be for them. And how devastating it would be for both father and son if one day due to illness or other situations the father is rendered physically unable to transport his son on foot such long distances any longer. :(
