Few renowned doctors of north east is comenting on diploma holders of cardiology as they are half cardiologist as they are not getting the membership/recognization of CSI. All concerned are now expecting a reaction from the Hon. teachers of the diploma cardiology course. As far as my knowledge goes, for a PG course in medicine, doctors has to work only for 3 months in Cardiology depertment in India during their traning period(?cardiologist)but a diploma holder in cardiology department works contineously for 2 yrs in cardiology department in India under the guidance of renowned profs.(DMs)yes i agree that the diploma cardiologist are not trained in invassive cardiology but they are the future hope of cardiology care in rural INDIA for bridging the care & tratment from a DM. They should not be moraly discurraged by nominating them as half... why CSI is not offering them membership it is a mistry for me? see all the teachers of diploma cardiology are the hon. CSI members?
