Top US man here for AOG meet August 19, 2013 | Filed under: Fiji News | Posted by: newsroom By LOSALINI RASOQOSOQO The general secretary of the Assemblies of God (AOG) church in the United States of America is in the country as the guest speaker of the bienniel conference. Reverend Dr James Bradford will be the speaker at the evening service of the five-day conference that begins today at the Central Christian Centre (CCC) in Nausori. AOG church general superintendent Reverend Pita Cili said God has brought a special servant to be their speaker and they believe God would speak to them through him. “We are always blessed to feel the love of God though his servants coming to us from our older brothers in the United States,” Reverend Cili said. Reverend Bradford spoke at the welcoming church service yesterday and he will be the speaker throughout the week. He is an aerospace engineer by profession before becoming a pastor. Reverend Bradford is also the author of Preaching: Maybe It Is Rocket Science and Second Chronicles Seven: fourteen: A 28-day Journey in Prayer. Meanwhile, more than 4000 members of the Assemblies of God (AOG) church from its 413 churches in Fiji are expected to attend the event. The chairman of the programme committee Reverend Filikesa Koroivueta said it’s another time of the year where they come together to meet and have fellowship as a movement. He said members always look forward to sharing with one another and of course catch up with stories and testimonies of what God is doing. “All activities in our conference are necessary to uphold their theme, ‘Anointed to Serve’,” Reverend Koroivueta said. The conference is scheduled for the day before the daily evening service while the ordination service will be on Friday.
