Finally!!!!! Less than a month to the elections, President GEJ finally pays a surprise visit to meet the troops in Maiduguri, Borno State. I guess with elections around the corner, he is no longer telling us that if he visits Borno State, Boko Haram will just kill him. He also met with displaced people from Baga. I guess the Satellite photographs released by Amnesty International showing the almost total devastation of the community by Boko Haram, totally put paid to the efforts of he and his advisors to downplay the tragedy. If almost 4000 homes are shown as destroyed by the satellite images, and we imagine a modest average of 4 people living in each home - that give a community of 16,000 people, not far off the Community heads figure of a community of about 20,000 people. With the total devastation, shootings, burning by Boko Haram, doesnt it seem logical that up to 2000 people were killed? The governments figure of 150 dead is totally laughable taking the evidence of the Satellite pics into account. Anyway sha, Oga Preido don visit Maiduguri.
