First Nations Actors for CBC Television Series: "Wild Canada" Wild Canada Productions is currently casting a docu-drama miniseries called "Wild Canada". "Wild Canada" will be broadcast domestically on CBC Television as part of"The Nature of Things with David Suzuki". The series will be narrated by David Suzuki for the Canadian version, and David Attenborough for the UK and international versions. We are looking for actors for a historical recreation we are filming about the Grease Trails trading network. For this sequence, a First Nations family is seen hiking along a Grease Trail, carrying trade goods. They are returning home from the coast, where they have been trading for eulachon oil and other goods. No dialogue. The setting is not specific to a particular year, but it is set pre-European contact. We will be filming on location in Whistler B.C. for one day - July 22nd. We are currently casting the following roles: 1) Elder We are looking for male and female actors aged 50 years and better with First Nations heritage to play the role of a family elder. 2) Young Family Member We are looking for male and female actors aged between 10 and 16 years with First Nations heritage to play the role of a young family member. Interviews will be held on July 15th between 5 PM and 8 PM at North Shore Studios in North Vancouver (555 Brooksbank Ave.). Please submit a photo and resume to Chelsea Turner at [email protected].
