First of all, I honestly wish everyone on Earth made a livable - TopicsExpress

First of all, I honestly wish everyone on Earth made a livable wage, and I also believe that there are fat cats who hoard a lot of money and/or wealth. With that said, I am absolutely sick of hearing and reading about how CEO pay, if reduced, would allow minimum wage workers to make a living wage. Either people are trying to pull a fast one, or they are simply just that ignorant. Take, for example, McDonalds. Everyone loves to hate that company. With a quick look on the net, the CEO makes $7.7 million. There are over 33,000 McDonalds restaurants world-wide. Some of those stores are franchises and some are company owned but, for the sake of simple argument, lets keep everything equal. If the CEOs compensation of $7.7 million were to be divided up equally among all 33,000 stores, each store would receive about $233 per year, or $4.48 per week. Now, divide that $4.48 up equally between each employee of said store. What does each employee get? A gumball. Or, a marble. Maybe. Using CEO compensation as a basis, or reason, to raise the minimum wage to a livable wage is not logical.
