Elderly Lady: Yes Im looking for one of them (points to the banners and decorations) and have you got any of them in Wedding? Me: Yes of course. I have the one with Mr and Mrs on it, I have this one with Here comes the Bride, I have... Elderly Lady: (interrupting) thats no good. I want it to put on a gift. Got nothing with Wedding on it? Me: Well I have one here that says Wedding Day. Elderly Lady: Ooooh that might do? Its for a big gift. Do you think itd be alright on a gift? Me: Well its a decoration banner but theres no reason you couldnt put it on a gift if it works for you? Elderly Lady: I could do I suppose. Oh, actually its got Wedding Day on it. Thats no good. I want to give it to them before the day. Me: Sorry thats just how they come. Elderly Lady: (Tutting)Well thats a bit stupid. Why on earth do they put Day on it? Me: Well its because its a Wedding Day banner. Elderly Lady: Well I still dont get why they do it? Me: Because its centred around the day. Im afraid they dont make any youre getting married in a week banners Elderly Lady: Well theyre not! Theyre getting married Sunday! Me: Well Im afraid they dont make any youre getting married on Sunday banners either 😕 Elderly Lady: Oh well I dont know......ooooooh I like the colour of that one. Do you think thatd work? Me: Probably not no. Elderly Lady: Why not? Me: Because its says Happy 10th Birthday on it. Elderly Lady: Oh thats a shame....maybe I could colour over it? You got nothing else suitable to put gifts? Me: I have gift bows Elderly Lady: oooh I dunno. Might look a bit silly. Me: probably no more silly than a Happy 10th Birthday banner youve drawn over. Elderly Lady: Hmmmmmm yeah I guess. Have you nothing else suitable? Without Day on it? Me: If you like the banner idea how about just Congratulatons?
