Focus On The Gift Of God... For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Rom 6:23 Whatever you focus on you magnify, and it becomes the center of your life and message. Which is why we have lots of self-righteous and demonic messages in the so called religious centers, for they are focusing on their sin and death, and that diminished or blinds their view on the Gift of God. We are not called to focus on ourselves or sin but on the Gift of God, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life...let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking[focusing] unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God- Jn 3:16. Heb 12:1-2. • Whenever our focus is shifted from the Gift of God, we become crushed and frustrated within by the burden of our self and sins; For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls- Heb 12:3. > We did not save ourselves and we cant sustain ourselves from sinning (Eph 2:8-9), so we are encouraged to work out your own [not His] salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God [not you] who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure (Phil 2:12-13). • Gods Gift to us does not depend on us but on Him, we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)- Eph 2:3-5. > Gods Gift to us depends solely on Him and it is eternal, but it is our choice to either accept or reject it. Those in Christ accepted it by faith which made us His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them- Eph 2:10. Self, satan and religion wants us to focus on the law of sin and death because that puts them on the spotlight instead on Christ the Gift of God to mankind. They want you to remain under the tutor, the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor- Gal 3:24-25. > Since faith has come, anything or anyone shifting your attention to the law of sin and death is leading you into sin against the liberty we have in Christ; for whatever is not from faith is sin...You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace- Rom 14:23b. Gal 5:4. • Every sin has its consequences but not all sin leads the redeemed to eternal death; If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death- 1Jn 5:16-17. > We dont deny our sin nor claim to be infallible but we admit and confess them to God for forgiveness and cleansing (Read 1Jn 1:8-10), and we have the Gift/Seed of God with the Father; My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. (I John 2:1-2 NKJV) • To stay focused on the Gift of God, you need these three things; 1. Seeing Eyes: And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.” Jn 9:39 Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see- Lk 10:23. > Natural, religious and demonic eyes cannot see nor receive the Gift of God (Read Matt 13:10-15; 16:13-14. Col 2:8-14). + May the Father God give you a seeing eyes that sees Jesus the Son of the living God - Matt 16:15-17. 2. Hearing Ears: Jesus said, “Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.” - Mk 4:9. > It takes the redeemed ears to hear what the Spirit of God is saying to the churches today - Rev 3:22. + May the Father God give you ears that hear the voice of the Son - Jn 5:25. • Prophet Isaiah saw the day we are living in and said, then everyone who has eyes will be able to see the truth, and everyone who has ears will be able to hear it. Even the hotheads will be full of sense and understanding. Those who stammer will speak out plainly- Isa 32:3-4. > And Jesus says, But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it- Matt 13:16-17. 3. Understanding Heart: I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have!- 1Kgs 3:12. > An understanding heart makes the redeemed wiser than their enemies, have more understanding than all their teachers, and understand more than the ancients; It also helps them to restrain their feet from every evil way, That they may keep Gods word (Psa 119:98-101). + May the Father God give you an understating heart to know the present truth and walk in them - Psa 119:34. • Understanding heart is a new heart of flesh, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:26 NKJV) > It is where the Spirit of God resides, For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children- Rom 8:16. • Finally, an understanding heart, seeing eyes and hearing ears are what we need to stay focused on the Gift of God; for they helps us to stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1 NKJV) > Thats why Jesus says, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” - Matt 11:28-30 • If only we can walk after the Spirit, because there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power* of the life-giving Spirit has freed you* from the power of sin that leads to death. > Focusing on the law of (flesh) sin and death brings self condemnation. NKJV put is this way: There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2 NKJV) • Focusing on the flesh profits nothing to the redeemed, we focus on the words of the Gift of God to us - Jn 6:63; when you know this present truth, you will not cease in giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins- Col 1:12-14. > Thank God for given us His Son; in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (I Thessalonians 5:18 NKJV) + May you never lose focus on the blood and name of Jesus, Gods free Gift to us all; May you be established in the present truth in Jesus Name! Amen! Stay Focused On Him Despite Your Weaknesses!
