Folks are so quick to blame the government for EVERYTHING. What happened to accountability? How dare this Janice person try to lay blame on everyone except those who are responsible for a childs care and protection. Clearly, she knows nothing of the procedures of the government. An investigation regarding the safety net is likely already happening - but demanding anything is not going to get you information that is irrelevant to you. Next, what is mentoring going to do about homelessness, really? Instead of trying to conduct a Salem-style witch hunt, lets put our efforts into finding Relisha and the person responsible for her abduction. Instead of throwing tax-payers money at the problem or asking folks who are ignorant to the culture of those they want to save, how about we continue holding the village accountable for raising our children not government agencies. How about we blame the abductor for abducting (in the same way we should blame a rapist for raping). How about we focus on the underlying issue and needs of the homeless instead of continually only looking for finances for housing. How about we consider that homelessness is about so much more than not having shelter. But, that may be too intense for the mind of this great opinionator. Also, I highly recommend this communications consultant sticks to consulting on communications and no longer speaks on those things which she clearly does not understand.
