Folks, my name is Todd Hazelrigg, and Ive been a Facebook user for several years now. Now, Ive gotta tell ya, some of these posts Ive been seeing lately are awful disturbing. As I scroll through my feed I see nothing but news articles about micro chipping this and chemtrailing that. Folks, the fact that the educational gap in one of the most advanced countries in the world has gotten so large is, frankly, disgusting and terrifying. Look, Im just a normal fella, and there was a time, not even that long ago, that I used to buy into the propaganda too. But, then something amazing happened. I went to college and completely turned my life around. Now, Im no snake oil salesman, and Im going to tell you straight up that an education is the most valuable thing that you could ever have (after your family). What if I told you that you could go to college too....for FREE!? Thats right! You are actually paying for other people to get an education with you tax dollars. Why should they benefit and you not? Now, I understand that school is not for everyone, and that is absolutely fine. So, here are some other things you can do to close the education gap and rid yourself of junk news and junk science. First, if an article on fb seems too crazy to be real, its probably not. So, research it by looking for the information on legitimate news sites. Stay away from places like Natural News and Info Wars. Also, check into the way that organizations like branches of the government work. When you know how things work and see that most institutions have legitimate systems built by hardworking, educated people, the world is less confusing and it seems less like faceless ghouls are running the world. Lastly, and perhaps the most important tip, stay up on all new science. As Carl Sagan once said, if the general public doesnt understand the science in which the world is based on , they will be left behind and not be able to make any decisions about how this science is used in their lives. Well, I hope this tutorial has at least reached a couple of you out there. Id also like to officially apologize to the Facebook world for all the ignorance I ever helped keep in rotation as a younger man.
