Food Collection: Saint John Vianney High School is partnering with a nonprofit organization called FOODSTOCK to conduct a food drive competition. FOODSTOCK is a grass roots community organization that has raised more than 75,000 pounds of food for area food pantries over the past four years. We are helping them reach their 2014 goal of 50,000 pounds! The collection will run until Friday, October 17. The number of donated items will be tracked by class year and homeroom. The winning class year will receive a $250 donation from FOODSTOCK to their Student Activities Fund. All students in the top homeroom will receive a free lunch pass from the school. Students should bring non-perishable food items to the chapel before Friday, October 17 to support a great cause and help their class win! List of items to donate: Stuffing, cranberry sauce, other Thanksgiving items (no frozen turkeys please!)
