For some people, breaking free may mean rebelling against what they were brought up with, be it the oppressive religion or various spirituality teachings and way of life, or any other, and it doesnt matter whether or not their new-found freedom is who they are authentically, whether or not it matches up with their beautiful soul... it is simply the need to take charge and rebel against the confines and control in which they were raised. They are FREE! For others breaking free is not about that at all, in fact, breaking free is about being able to stand up and say thank you very much, but that is not for me, to anything or anyone. It is simply the need to live authentically, rather than go-with-the-flow of the world, or the majority. They free themselves to grow into alignment with who they truly are, no matter what that is. And, they are FREE! Regardless of the hows and whys, it takes courage to break free. It takes Self-Love to live authentically in the midst of a world that tries to conform you to their ways and comforts. It takes bravery to say that is not for me and reap possible rejection and judgement, and not fitting in. And this is not about discomfort, judgement, or non-acceptance of others who live differently, it is about the freedom to choose for ourselves... about being so in tune with the deepest part of our soul... its about the freedom to live authentically, without allowing others to try and conform us to their ways, and beliefs. You know, so often, we look at others and say this is why THEY do THAT or, this is WHO or HOW they ARE, when we are merely peeking through our own eyes, projecting our own light upon them from our own minds/perceptions. We are so often wrong when judging others, because were coming from a place of our personal perceptions borne out of our personal life experiences and wounds. We couldnt be more limited in our views. Truly, we cant even determine anothers authenticity--only they can. We often generalize in so many areas of life, dont we? Truly, we can only speak for ourselves and allow others the same freedom. Love, Jamie P.S. Im feeling some energy leaks here, but also feel a healing energy as I write this out, getting these thoughts and inner-ponderings out and open for sharing. Love to you ALL.
