For the last year, I have been getting everyone on their leg when creating more back bending action, its not hard to see why. As I learn Viparita Dandasana from Hart, you can see how the leg action 1) femur decending 2) posterior tilt pelvis 3) tibia move towards the chest easentially generate more bend. In order to make this work, a slight internal rotation of the femur by putting a block in between the knee will move the illium towards each other. By practicing intelligently with awareness, the outcome is all of us can do difficult back bending with more ease. Practice ! Prastice !
