For the second year in a row, Oklahoma has the dubious distinction of ranking third in the nation in the number of women murdered by men. According to a recent Violence Policy Center report, in Oklahoma in 2012, 39 women were murdered by men. More than 90 percent of those women were killed by someone they knew.
