For those of you too young to remember, it was called gay cancer for a very long time, and because the Reagan administration didnt want to seem too cozy with the gay community, AIDS was IGNORED. Many many many people died, many of them friends of mine, before the government FINALLY decided to spend money to save people, kicked in the proverbial ass by activists like Liz Taylor. How utterly absurd, how nakedly political, to gripe that President Obama isnt doing enough for Ebola. Conservatives- you cant have it both ways- is Obama a fascist control freak? Or an apathetic sloucher? At this point who the guy really is and what he really stands for is irrelevant. People will make him whatever they need to, to support whatever agenda they have.
