For those of you who dont understand Detroit vs Everybody, heres something I shared with my cousin today: Yes, David Griggs, we do feel its Detroit vs Everybody! We get a bad rap, no matter what the situation or circumstance! The country has always hated on Detroit....& most dont know/understand the history of why & where it came from. We were the 1 st major city in the U.S., where thousands of southern non educated blacks migrated to, & due to the BIG 3, were able to live VERY WELL & have an abundance of everything. They grossed $50,000-$100,000, bought beautiful homes, & put their children through college, all being factory/blue collar workers! Then our entire city government was ran completely by African Americans. How dare we! So they rathered let the entire American Auto Industry, fail.....just so we could suffer & not continue to live as good as we were. But Detroiters are fighters, and you cant keep us down. We have alot to offer, were making a comeback.....& the country hates it! We supposedly have the worse crime, dilapidated houses, etc. And unfortunately, due to our population decreasing, it seems that way. But its not, we stand strong, have dedicated citizens, & were working on taking our neighborhoods back. And we will continue to rise. But for ALLLLLLLLLLLL of the hating weve always received & will continue to receive.....thats why we feel its: DETROIT VS EVERYBODY!!!!!
