Forbidden Island is a 2 to 4 player game that plays in about an hour. The gist is you are a team of specialist attempting to claim 4 artifacts of an island rigged to sink if anyone attempts to set foot on it. Sounds easy . Setting the flood gauge on novice we made the attempt twice last evening and though both attempts were a success the 4 player game only had 5 pcs out 24 tiles left. That was close. And remember that was novice setting there are 3 other settings after that lose, lost and man you didnt stand a chance. What I really liked about it was it is fully cooperative. That means if you have an item that could help a team mate you dont have to wait for your turn you can lend the hand right then on thier turn. Its fast paced and you are encouraged to give advice and seek advice on your turn. As you attempt to shore island tiles up . The overall quality of the componets are high. Its what I would call a heavy filler game. Not a game that lasts all night but several game plays could extend to a full game night. As always its about good friends good games and good times.
