Speaking to a new member recently and from the first sentence I heard the stinking thinking that is the number one cause of mediocrity and lifestyle decline in our society today. I thought it was important to share with you the conversation because you all know people like this and you might even be one. I was approached by a new LC and after some complimentary comments he dropped the big “I would do anything to have your lifestyle” bid. REALLY? I have heard this comment a thousand times over the past 25+ years and over 99% of the people saying it where lying. Now when I say “lying” I don’t mean they deliberately were being deceitful because they weren’t. In fact none of them even knew they were lying when they were saying those words, Keep reading … - He said I would do anything to have your lifestyle. - I said in a surprised voice - you would? - Even more surprised he responded “OF COURSE I would ...who wouldnt?” - I said well lets put that comment to test. How long have you been a member? - He said about 4 months. - How many Boot camps and trainings have you attended live or online? - He responded, been on a few Sunday night webinars but not Tuesday webinars and we don’t have live boot camps in our area. - I said are you aware of the international boot camps on the web? - He responded yes but I have not had the chance to be on it yet because its on Saturdays and I have kids, you know how it is with kids? Nothing irks me more than people hiding behind kids, god (church) etc and not doing their work.... It’s the most bonehead excuse you can make. As if the rest of us dont have kids ...as if this business is for CHILDLESS people. GOD is the reason you are here, he brought you the solution and you are using him as an excuse not to do your work. - No I dont know what you mean I responded because I have my 6-year-old gr8 one and he is my motivator to make the tough decisions. - Your kids wished you took some time now so they can have a bright future ... your kids wish you make some sacrifices now so they wont have to be 200k in debt after they finish university. I than changed the course of the conversation. The point is, you cant SUCK & BLOW at this topic (legal term for wanting but not willing). - Yes you would want my lifestyle if it were easy ... - You would want my lifestyle if it was free.. but do you really want my lifestyle looking at the challenges I have and am overcoming daily? This reminds me of a true story of a gulf legend Jack Nicklaus. He was practicing one-day hitting gulf balls and when he went through 1000 balls he went in to the clubhouse to wash off the blood from his bleeding blisters and put a Band-Aid on it. An admirer said to him “Jack it’s my dream to hit a gulf ball like you”. Jack snapped at the man and said ‘NO YOU DON’T”. A shocked man was speechless. Jack continued by saying hitting a gulf ball like me is not a dream, its pain and work that most will not endure. It’s not a dream when you come in and hit 1000 balls, than go and wash off the blood, put a band aid and come back for another 1000 balls everyday for 40+ years. You want to hit a gulf ball like me STOP DREAMING and START HITTING”. - WISH MORE people never achieve any thing of significance because when wishes face challenges, it sticks its tail between its legs, puts its head and ears down and run away. You need the BURNING DESIRE that only comes when you have a rock solid “PROMISS LIST”. So if you cant even get in front of your phone for 3-4 hours per month in the comfort of your home or office with your favorite beverage and munchies to learn the skills and tools you need to get your business off the ground, than trust me you won’t do anything to have my lifestyle . For me and people like me (Ambassador Reza, Ambassador Rene, Ambassador Sherry etc) attending weekly events is NOT a choice, its our MO (Method Of Operation) and every thing else takes a back seat on those times.
