Freedom of speech and expression is all very well, but in a world that is metaphorically shrinking, a show of empathy and sensitivity towards extremely sensitive topics surrounding race and religion is immensely important so as not to offend. There are peaceful ways and channels which allow people to make others aware that their actions have been deeply offensive. However, it is a shame that some groups feel that violence is the only way to make their voices heard. Unfortunately, the voices have been heard, but not to the advantage of a religion that is already struggling to maintain its stance as a religion of peace, nor to the advantage of the millions of its innocent followers who do not support violence, but will be tainted by it and painted by the same brush, nevertheless, and may suffer the repercussions.😔
