Friday July 25, 2014 Scottish Jim told me that he did not see Half Mask when he brought breakfast down this morning. I went this evening and I did not see the little monkey either. Lynn and John Paul are there now; hopefully she will show up for a midnight snack. They are also looking for Bubba. I thought that I saw him earlier near the floating homes this evening. I stopped my car, put on the flashers and got out with a bag of food and went over to feed him. But when I got there I found that it was just a black plastic bag blowing around. LOL. When I was in Halfie’s area I put out some food for the raccoons. When I went back to add a little bit more, I found a momma raccoon with three adorable little babies enjoying the kibble and my leftover lunch! John Paul and Lynn heard some noise from one of the dumpsters a few minutes ago and found another momma raccoon in there with her babies. John Paul found a plank and put it in the dumpster so they could climb out. When he went to check on them the momma was right at the top and he was face to face with her. I wonder if she realized that he had helped her, because she just looked at him, no snarls, no aggression. He has checked again and they are all out now. I do not even want to think what might have happened if Dr Doolittle had not been there! Thank you John Paul! Have a good night all. Cheers, Judy P.S. - Just heard from Lynn.
