Friday night update on Joan. Today was her longest dialysis yet & she seemed to handle it worst of all. In fact, Ill say she was pretty miserable when I went to see her this afternoon. Chills, couldnt get warm. I got extra blankets to put on her. After a while she started feeling better. Then she got sleepy & I left. Many thanks to Don Daily for going to see her a little while later. Her blood cultures are clear but there is evidence of a urinary tract infection persisting. So they are trying a different antibiotic for that. The really great news is that her kidney numbers are continuing to get better! Praise God! They are still hinting that eventually she may not need regular dialysis. Please pray that this trend continues. At the moment her restless leg syndrome has kicked in so shes pretty uncomfortable.
